"There are friends, there's family, and then there are friends that become family."
I LOVE this quote. It is very endearing and so true.
It's amazing the relationships that can be built from happenstance. Pure coincidence. This is true with my friendship with the Clark Family. I met them when they were still only a family of three expecting to become a family of four. I took my daughter to a music class and it just so happened that there were only two students in the class that day: my daughter Ella and their son Jackson. We spent a whole hour together in a small room singing and dancing with our children. After class, Matt approached me and we got to talking about the kids and setting up a playdate with their son sometime. Maura and I exchanged numbers and the rest is history.
There have been lots of fond memories with their family since that day. And nowadays, they are known as the Clark Family, party of four. They welcomed their beautiful summer baby Harper this year making little Jackson a big brother! While there have been lots of adjustments in their household, they are doing absolutely awesome with raising two young children. Little Jackson is still busy making friends and enjoying big boy activities while little Harper tags along happily. She is always SO joyful. Just the sweetest little thing!
Maura and Matt enjoy celebrating the holidays and their household decor reflects the time of the year. You can guarantee that their house will be decorated for Easter, Fourth of July, Halloween, you name it! So this time of year, you can bet that their house is looking festive for Christmas. They have a gorgeous 9-foot tall Christmas tree, so when they told me they wanted to do their family photos in their front room where the tree stands you can bet I was excited about it!
Matt and Maura, you guys have been such a blessing in our family's life. Thank you for always welcoming me and Ella in your home. Thank you for always checking up on us. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and always offering to watch her on days where I need someone trustworthy to care for her. Most of all, thank you for being such great friends who have become family. You are both just salt to the earth! Jackson and Harper are extremely lucky to have such great people for parents. I had so much fun at your session and really enjoyed the little pajamas the kids wore at the end. Too cute! I have a bunch of favorites from your session so here are a few!
